Since our inception, we have focused on building a culture that is distinctly different from other asset management firms – one that rewards collaboration, innovation and merit.
Our unique culture was recognized this month by Great Place to Work® and Fortune, which named BAM as one of the Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance™ in 2021. The firm was ranked 24th among the 40 Best Small and Medium Workplaces. This is BAM’s second time being named to the list after previously being featured in 2018.
Great Place to Work is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or what their role is. The companies that made the list acted as generous corporate citizens amid a year of multiple crises, deepening employees’ sense of purpose and commitment.
At BAM, we’ve built an environment that supports long-term success. We foster curiosity, encourage initiative and promote smart risk-taking, and we provide endless opportunities for growth and development through our many trainings, mentorship programs and employee resource groups.
We also understand the value of diversity and strive to give individuals with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences a path to grow and succeed at our firm. We have a global Diversity & Inclusion Council made up of five Committee Chairs and dozens of members and regional champions dedicated to increasing inclusion, education and impact across our firm.
The Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance ranking is highly competitive, based on rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback. To determine the Best Workplaces in Financial Services & Insurance ranking, Fortune research partner Great Place to Work surveyed more than 840,000 employees at U.S. companies to find out which in the financial services and insurance industry rise above their peers by instilling trust—and allowing members of their organizations to reach their full human potential.
In that survey, 97% of BAM’s employees said BAM is a great place to work. This number is 38 points higher than the average U.S. company.
This is the most recent recognitions of the firm’s collaborative workplace and operational expertise. Earlier this year, BAM was recognized as the "Best of the Best" mid-cap hedge fund in 2020 by South Korean institutional investors. In 2017 and 2018, the firm was recognized among the ‘Best Medium Workplaces™’ in the U.S.
