Brooke Harlow
Chief Global Affairs Officer
Brooke Harlow is the chief global affairs officer at Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) and a member for the firm’s Management Committee. She is responsible for geopolitical risk and strategy, global public policy, legislative and regulatory affairs, vendor partnerships, global corporate services, philanthropy, employee resource groups, and sustainability initiatives. Harlow joined BAM in 2023 from the Managed Funds Association, where she served as chief commercial officer. Before MFA, Harlow was a managing director at Highbridge Capital Management and vice president in the investment bank at J.P. Morgan. Brooke began her career as a field producer and reporter for CNN in the Washington, D.C. and Mexico City bureaus. Harlow has been recognized as one of the 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds and serves on the Global Advisory Board of Girls Who Invest. She is a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Bretton Woods Committee Advisory Council. She is also emeritus co-president of the Board of Governors and trustee of The Hotchkiss School, and an executive committee member of the Women’s Board of the Boys Club of New York, board member of Atlas Fellows, and a member of the Economic Club of New York. Harlow holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Yale University and was selected as a Rotary Scholar to study International Relations at El Colegio de Mexico in Mexico City.
