Kevin Russell
Global Head of Multi-Asset Arbitrage
Kevin Russell is global head of Multi-Asset Arbitrage at Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee (IC). He is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business around the world, which includes Index Rebal, Merger Arbitrage, Delta One, Converts, Event-Driven, and Credit.
Kevin has over 30 years of trading and management experience in the markets. He joined BAM in 2025 from Millennium, where he was both a senior portfolio manager and partner in Global Equities. Prior to that, he held a variety of roles at UBS O’Connor, an independent investment manager housed within UBS, including leading the firm for nearly five years as its Chief Investment Officer.
Earlier in his career, Kevin worked at Citi for more than two decades, finishing his tenure there as Global Head of Equity Trading, managing trading and risk across equity, equity derivative, and equity-linked products.
Kevin has a BA and MA in Economics from the University of Southern California.
