Last month, Balyasny’s Applied AI team hosted our annual AI Hackathon. The competition brought together colleagues around the firm to create agentic workflows and compete for prizes.

A global event

The event brought together BAM employees from the U.S., EMEA, and Asia, and across Businesses and Investing teams. Participants worked with members of the Applied AI team to automate complex tasks and identify opportunities to improve their daily processes. The event was open to all staff, regardless of previous coding experience.

Participants voted to select projects that stood out for their creativity and impact, among other categories. Winners included teams across investing teams, data science, office services, and more.
