Scott Schroeder co-founded Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) in 2001 and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and Management Committee. Over the past 25 years, he has played a leading role in setting firm strategy and overseeing key initiatives, while also shaping BAM’s approach to recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. Scott continues to oversee the firm’s Business Development and Human Resources teams, in addition to managing BAM’s relationship with investors around the world.

Scott joined BAM from Schonfeld Securities. Before that, he was an associate in the Securities and M&A division at Foley & Lardner. Scott is a member of the Children’s Wisconsin Private Markets Working Group and has served on the Marquette University Board of Trustees and Managed Funds Association (MFA) Board of Directors. He also volunteers with the Boys & Girls Club. Scott has a Juris Doctor and MBA from Marquette University, where he also received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting.
